    The Wagner Fire Department joined departments across the country in honoring the lives lost during the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.To mark the 25th anniversary of the attacks, the department placed a fire truck on display alongside a full set of firefighter turnout gear.

Alcester-Hudson responded with a 25-19 victory in the third set, but the Pirates closed out the match with a 25-19 win in the fourth.

    The Avon 8U Baseball team wrapped up its season in championship fashion by hosting and winning the 8U League Tournament on Saturday, June 27. The young Pirates opened the tournament with a 15-4 victory over Tabor before defeating Parkston 7-2 to advance to the championship game.
