Not only was Danny chosen at the unit level, but in the district competition, he was named District Legionnaire of the Year. Read moreThe 4-H shooting kids will be heading to Pierre/Ft. Pierre, April 25-27, to compete at the annual 4-H Spring State Shooting Competition. Participants qualify at a beginner, junior, or senior level, amongst their practiced disciplines. The Charles Mix County 4-H kids will showcase their skill across every discipline the competition has to offer, including; Air Pistol, Air Rifle, Archery, BB gun, CMP, 22 Pistol and 22 Rifle. Coaches are Shawn Smejkal, Bradley Dangel, Duane Pedersen, and Mike Dangel. Good luck and aim sharp!

Read moreOn Saturday, April 19th, the annual Easter Egg Hunt brought together 109 excited children for a fun-filled event of egg hunting. Sponsored by the Avon Chamber of Commerce, the event featured colorful eggs hidden through the Avon Park with the sweet surprise for three children as they took home a bicycle. With families gathering to celebrate the Easter weekend, this event is always a cherished local tradition. Special thanks to April Powers for helping us out with snapping some photos at the event.
