With it being prom season, the Lake Andes Senior Living Center crowned their 2024 King and Queen April 13th. The candidates for King were Melvin Chasing Hawk, Randall Spreckles and Paul Fast Horse. The candidates for Queen were Estelle Redlightning, Noreen Bridges and Vae VanDenHoek. Congratulations to both King Melvin and Queen Estelle. Pictured here are Wagner area students and our first non-traditional student who are all receiving a full ride educational scholarship to help them accomplish their career goals. These recipients are part of a special “Scholarship Signing Program” that was held in the Wagner School with their family and friends on hand to witness this great educational opportunity. These students are receiving the Yankton Sioux Tribe and Build Dakota Partnership Scholarship, which is a full ride scholarship.

President Elect Jordan Weber rang the Rotary Bell with a ferocious whack of the bell that brought everyone to attention immediately! He won’t need any lessons on bell ringing in the future. There were no guests present for the April 22nd meeting, so Pastor/Rotarian Bill Heermann gave a blessing with thankfulness for the food and hope for guidance as all Rotarians go about doing good works in the Wagner Community.
