Happy summer break for students and staff of Andes Central and surrounding communities. The library is gearing up for summer programming and summer reading. The schedule for the summer includes 3 (yes 3) presentations at the library open to everyone. June 16 th at 1:15 pm the library will be hosting Gypsy Cowbelle and Home Spun Instruments which is provided through a grant from the SD Humanities Council. Come ready to tap your toes and clap your hands! On June 28th at 10 am a Magician Jeff Quinn will be performing at the library. What do rabbits, black hats and wands have in common? A magic show open to every age. Finally, do you like reptiles? On August 2nd at 10 am the Reptile Lady will be visiting the Lake Andes Library with her pets to do a presentation for anyone interested in learning more about reptiles.

Pay tribute to the Fallen this Memorial Day, May 29, 2023. The American Legion Auxiliary honors the men and women who have gone to fight for our great nation and tragically did not return home. Please take a moment this weekend to honor their sacrifices, pray for their families, and bow your head in recognition of their service. We must never forget them. The Flanders Field Poppy became an internationally known and recognized symbol of the lives sacrificed in war and the hope that none died in vain.
