On Thursday, April 27, the Wagner track and field team participated in the First Dakota Relays in Yankton. This was a bit of a different meet for us as there were a vast array of schools who we don’t typically compete against. You had AA schools Brookings and Huron along with the hosts from Yankton. A schools from Sioux Falls Christian, Vermillion, Dakota Valley, amongst others. And B schools from Deubrook and Gayeville-Volin. Team scores were not kept at this meet.

Read moreThe Lady Pirates dropped a slugfest to Viborg-Hurley by the score of 26-22. Pitchers for the Pirates were Macy Voigt and Karlie DeVries. Leading hitters were Macy Voigt with 2 hits and 6 RBI’s including a homerun, Rilyn Thury with 3 hits and 7 RBIs. Kenna Kocmich scored 6 runs for the pirates. The girls drop to 1-4 on the season. The Pirates look to right the ship in a tournament on Saturday in Gayville.
