Saturday, June 8th two local riders traveled to Watertown where they competed in the South Dakota High School Rodeo Association Region Rodeo. Shana Lensing participated in Pole Bending and Barrels. Shada Beeson advanced to the 75th Annual South Dakota High School Rodeo Finals in Pole Bending and Breakaway. Finals are June 11th-15th at the Stanley County Fairgrounds in Fort Pierre. The Class B State Track Meet was held from Thursday, May 23rd through Saturday, May 25th in Sioux Falls at the Howard Wood Field.Thiswasthe119thyear that this annual 3-day event washeld.Seventeenathletes from the Avon School District qualified for the Class B State Track Meet.
