Chauncey Cletus Blaine, 42, died Tuesday, April 7, 2026. Funeral services were Monday, April 13 at the Marty Community Center. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Chauncey Cletus Blaine was born on October 10, 1983, at the Indian Health Service in Wagner to Brenda Blaine, who was a mother and father to her five children. Chauncey has three older sisters: Trista, Miranda, and Ella, with one younger brother Travis Blaine. Chauncey has two beautiful daughters: Elizabeth and EmaLyna. He was known as “brother” to many of his nieces.

Chauncey was baptized at Greenwood Presbyterian Church. He attended school at Andes Central and Marty Indian School. He worked construction in Mitchell.

He leaves to mourn: mother Brenda, siblings: Trista, Miranda, Ella and Travis; special friend, Sabrina DeCory; five aunts: Patricia, Charlotte, Lydia, Victoria, Stephanie; five uncles: Michael, Albert Lou, Mark Wayne, Robert, Eric; and many cousins, nieces and nephews.
