Hunnicutt, and “Hard Assets” by Keith Wood, that have made me think about guns as practical investments.

WAGNER CUB SCOUTS PLANT TREE IN MEMORY OF COREY IRWIN

On Monday, July 26 the Wagner Cub Scouts in partnership with the city of Wagner and Kirwan Design and Landscaping planted a tree at Wagner Lake in memory of Cub Scout Leader and friend, Corey Irwin. Both the Cub Scouts and family members were present to assist in planting the tree. The Cub Scouts will be watering the tree daily and watching it grow tall and strong.

PIERRE - At the request of the South Dakota Department of Veterans Affairs, Gov. Kristi Noem has proclaimed Saturday, August 7 as "Purple Heart Recognition Day," calling on all South Dakotans to honor those men and women who are recipients of the Purple Heart Medal.

GOOD TURN-OUT AT LOCAL BLOOD DRIVE

The LifeServe Blood Center blood drive held in Wagner on Monday, July 26 had a fantastic turn-out! 43 donors registered and 46 units of life saving blood was donated. Thank you to everyone that came out to help boost the LOCAL blood supply! The units donated at the blood drive can help save up to 138 lives! There were several milestone donors who are listed below and a special thanks to Marlene Stone, Joan Novak, the Ladies Hospital Auxiliary and the Wagner Fire Hall for sponsoring and hosting the blood drive.
