DONOVAN DUGAN TO COME TO FRIEDENSBERG BIBLE CHURCH

Friedensberg Bible Church, 8 miles south and 1 mile west of Avon, will host Donovan and Andrea Dugan of One Challenge and their family on Sunday, July 18. They will share at Sunday School at 9:30 a.m. and Donovan will speak at the 10:30 a.m. worship service. A potluck meal will follow. All are welcome. TRAP SEASON

Bon Homme Co IWLA Chapter trap range is open to the public. Shooting is open every Thursday at 7:30 p.m. No experience necessary!! There are no teams or scores. Not required to shoot every Thursday. You are welcome to shoot one round or as many as you like. Come on down for some summer time entertainment. Bring your own shells if you have them or the club has some available.

“OPEN CLASS SHOW” TO BE HELD

The Annual Open Class Show will be held during the Bon Homme County 4-H Achievement Days. If you enjoy making projects or have a hobby and would like to show off your work, here is your chance! You can enter a variety of items to show. Anything from painting, quilting, baking, canning, collections, photography, gardening and so much more! All exhibits should be entered on Friday, July 30th, from 7:30 to 8:30 a.m. at the 4-H Center and must go by guidelines in the South Dakota State Fair Book.

AVON 18U SOFTBALL RESULTS

Monday, July 5 Avon’s 18U Softball Team traveled to Tabor for the Little Missouri Valley League Tournament. Avon was the #5 seed and drew #4 Tabor in the opening round. Avon had a difficult time against Tabor’s pitching as they failed to reach base in the contest. Tabor was held to 2 runs in the bottom of the first but scored 11 in the second. Kinley Doom pitched for Avon, taking the loss.
