Leonard Provost, 62, of Wagner, died Sunday, February 1, 2026 at Wagner Community Memorial Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, February 5 at the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Church in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Cemetery, Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Christine Terry, 52, of Omaha, NE, died Monday January 26, 2026 at Emerald Nursing and Rehab Mercy in Omaha, NE. The family is having a private viewing with cremation to follow. Please join her children in a Celebration of Life on Friday, February 13th from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the Hanscom Park Pavilion, Omaha, NE. All are welcome to come and share memories of Christine. A Celebration of Life for Robert Altenburg, 78, of Pickstown, will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, February 12 at St. John Lutheran Church in Wagner. Inurnment will be in the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery in Armour at a later date. Visitation with family will be at the church on Thursday from 12:30 to 2 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials will be directed to the South Dakota Amateur Baseball Hall of Fame, PO Box 80, Lake Norden, SD 57248. On Wednesday, March 4th the Wagner Rotary Club met at its usual time for its first meeting of the month. Attendance peaked at sixteen members with some absent due to vacation. South Dakota winters begin to feel quite long by the time March rolls around on the calendar. There were no guests present so Rotary Grace was said, and members ate their meal prepared this week by Valley Pump.
