'OPEN CLASS SHOW' TO BE HELD AT ACHIEVEMENT DAYS

The Annual Open Class Show will be held during the Bon Homme County 4-H Achievement Days. If you enjoy making projects or have a hobby and would like toshowoffyourwork,hereis your chance! You can enter a variety of items to show. Anything from painting, quilting, baking, canning, collections, photography, gardening and so much more! Our Achievement Days schedule has changed slightly this year, and all exhibits will be judged on Thursday evening, August 1st. All exhibits should be entered Thursday, August 1st, by 5:00 p.m. at the 4-H Centerandmustgobyguidelines in the South Dakota State Fair Book.

SOUTHEAST ELITE RESULTS

On Tuesday night, the Southeast Elite traveled to Vermillion to take on the Vermillion Flamze. In the first game the Elite scored 5 runs in the top of the first. Emersyn Haenfler walked and then Harper Kracht, Brielle Voigt and Kensley DeVries all followed with singles. Raegan Brandtreachedonanerrorand eventuallyscoredthefifthrun. In the 3rd inning, Lydia Lane walked, advanced to second on a groundout, and scored on a single by Leah DeWald. Brielle followed with a single scoring Leah. Kensley then singled to score Brielle. In the fifth inning, four consecutive singlesbyLeah,Harper,Brielle and Kensley resulted in 3 additional runs. Kensley picked up the win on the mound, going the distance striking out 4 and only giving up one run. The final score was 11-1 in favor of the Elite.
