Funeral service will be Wednesday, June 26 at 10:30 a.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour. Visitation will be Tuesday, June 25 from 5 to 7 p.m., with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service, at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Armour. Arrangements by Koehn Bros. Funeral Home in Armour.

I called Pierre and was told there has been a delay in starting the study due to an audit concern. There is no definite timeline on when the study will start. The friend’s group has only raised about one third of the $45,000 needed to match the grant from the transportation department (federal gas tax money). This money is only for the study, not for any construction.

Read moreA special session of the city council was not called to hear a repeal of the ETJ but rather a special session was called to hear nominations for a new council member along with other items of business. On the agenda at the special meeting was Gerrit Juffer asking to repeal the ETJ. This request to be on the agenda was made at a prior council meeting.
