Karl F. Flood, 37, of Marty, died Monday, April 22, 2024 in his home in Marty. Funeral services were Thursday, April 25 at the YST Community Center in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery. Wake services began Tuesday, April 23 at the community center. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Arlene Gullikson, 90, of Lake Andes, died Tuesday, April 23, 2024 at her home in Lake Andes. A one night wake service was held Friday, April 26 at the American Legion Hall in Wagner. One night wake was held Sunday, April 28 at the Ralph Wells Community Center in White Shield, ND with funeral services Monday, April 29 at the Ralph Wells Community Center in White Shield, ND. Burial was in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in White Shield, ND.

Pictured here are Wagner area students and our first non-traditional student who are all receiving a full ride educational scholarship to help them accomplish their career goals. These recipients are part of a special “Scholarship Signing Program” that was held in the Wagner School with their family and friends on hand to witness this great educational opportunity. These students are receiving the Yankton Sioux Tribe and Build Dakota Partnership Scholarship, which is a full ride scholarship.

President Elect Jordan Weber rang the Rotary Bell with a ferocious whack of the bell that brought everyone to attention immediately! He won’t need any lessons on bell ringing in the future. There were no guests present for the April 22nd meeting, so Pastor/Rotarian Bill Heermann gave a blessing with thankfulness for the food and hope for guidance as all Rotarians go about doing good works in the Wagner Community.
