WAGNER RED RAIDERS DEFEAT BON HOMME 65-51

The Red Raiders got a big night from Carter Cournoyer on Friday night in Tyndall. The senior forward scored 22 points and grabbed 11 rebounds to lift the Raiders to a 65-51 road victory. Carter scored 12 of his 22 in the final period. The game was tight for the first 3 periods, Wagner led 17-13 after the first quarter and 30-27 at the half. Bon Homme outscored Wagner by 1 point in the third quarter making the score 42-40 heading into the final frame. Wagner would lead by as many as 16 in the fourth quarter. Jesse Zephier had a nice night with 13 points and 9 rebounds, Parker Petry scored 11 points, Joey Cournoyer Jr. added 10, Preston McFayden scored 7 and Brady Cournoyer 2. Wagner is now 4-2 and plays tomorrow night in Corsica.

ANNUAL SD PICNIC

The 70th annual SD Picnic in Florida will be held February 24 at 12 noon at the Grace Lutheran Church fellowship hall in Lakeland, FL. All former South Dakotans, either permanent or seasonal residents are invited to attend with their family. The SD Picnic will be held indoors in the Grace Lutheran Church fellowship hall. Parking and fellowship hall entrance is at the rear of the church building. Please bring a main dish or dessert with enough to share, along with plates and eating utensils for yourself. Serving utensils will be provided, along with soft drinks, water, coffee and tea. There will be no alcoholic beverages served at the SD Picnic. Please come and enjoy a fun time with fellow South Dakotans to either meet new friends or to catch up with friends known for a lifetime. Be sure to reach out to any South Dakotans you know who are living in FL in February and let them know about this special time of fun and fellowship. This is the 70th annual SD Picnic let’s all come out and make this the best SD Picnic ever!
