In July of 2023, John and Tracy Blaha opened the Blahagio Airbnb in the old Security State Bank building that was built in 1912. The bank had also been a grocery and candy store at one time in Dante. The Blaha family originally purchased the property in 2018. After purchasing, the priority was to have the building registered withtheNationalHistoricalRegistry. Ittookfiveyearsafter being granted permission to restore the building that the restoration was completed.
Read moreAvon's 12U softball season wrapped up last weekend. Our record was 7 wins, 8 losses, and 3 ties. I appreciate all of the kids and their parents for a great season! Special thanks to Tiffany Pelton, Katie Gretschmann and Reece Loewe who helped with practices and all of the Dad’s who helped coach during the games. Also, thanks to the city of Avon for sponsoring us at last weekend’s tournament in Mitchell. I am already looking forward to next year!
