The Class of 1970 held their 52nd class reunion during Avon's 2022 Homecoming. Classmates attending on Friday and riding through the parade are from left to right: Carol Pudwill Eggers, Claudia Curl Swee, Cal Ratzlaff, Linda Radack Broecher-Pfeifer, Bob Knoll, Linda Course Cassard, Jackie Powers Peters, Bill Knoll, Betty Gramkow Woehl, David Walkes, Curt Pudwill, Ray Ridgway, Dave Voigt and Ken Eben. We were pleased to have our Science/Biology/ Chemistry teacher, Jim Stoebner, and his wife, Marjorie Stoebner, ride through the parade with us but they left before we gathered for this picture. Our thanks to Ray Ridgway for the use of his classic car and his trailer, and to Janet Peters, Cal Ratzlaff and Ken Eben for getting our float ready for us.

Funeral services for Paula Tuttle, 62, of Wagner were held Wednesday, September 7 at the United Methodist Church in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

A Celebration of life for Janice Sternhagen, 78, of Avon was held Saturday, September 10 at the First Presbyterian Church in Avon, with Pastor Lorney Van Gerpen officiating. Inurnment will be at a later date
