Andy Williamson, Lake Andes, recently fished the boater division of the St. Croix Bassmaster Central Open on Ross Barnett Lake, Mississippi, held April 28-30. Although he finished a dismal 213th of 225 competitors, he hopes the experience will lead to better future results.

This fall, one of the five regional finalists will be selected to represent the state as the 2023 South Dakota Teacher of the Year. That individual will be South Dakota’s candidate for the National Teacher of the Year Award. The 2023 National Teacher of the Year will be announced during a ceremony in Washington, D.C., in spring 2023.
