The Library has prepared a Thanksgiving activity for the children ages K-12 grade. Pick up a picture at the Library to color before Thanksgiving and return it for the Library to display. Each returned picture will get a small prize from the Library.

Imagine it is 6:30 p.m. and you are just sitting down for an evening meal with your family. As the meal is served, you begin to talk with your children about the highlights of their day. The conversation is just getting interesting when you hear the emergency siren in the distance. Without hesitation, your father wipes his face and gets up from the table. He rushes off to the bedroom to grab his keys, says goodbye, and heads to the fire station.

Funeral services are 10:30 a.m., Monday, November 22 at the Emmanuel Reformed Church in Springfield. Burial is in the Emmanuel Reformed Cemetery, rural Springfield. Visitation and fellowship time with family will be held at the First Baptist Church in Avon on Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. Peters Funeral Home in Avon is in charge of arrangements.
