2021 TRACK AND FIELD SEASON KICKS OFF IN PARKSTON

It has been a while. While most high school athletics have been affected in some way, shape, or form by the coronavirus, probably none more so than track and field as these student athletes missed an entire season due to the pandemic. But it was time to get back at it and last Tuesday, April 6, Wagner’s tracksters loaded the bus and went to Parkston to compete for the first time in close to two years.

ROLAND JESPERSEN

Roland L. Jespersen of Lake Andes, after a long illness passed away on Thursday, April 8, 2021 in his home. He was 85 years old. Born in Wagner, Roland resided on a farm four miles north of Wagner before moving to Lake Andes. He was predeceased by his loving parents, Helen E (Caldwell) and Elmer Jespersen and brother, Elmer "Gene" Jespersen.

Pierre, S.D.– The Stephanie Miller-Davis Library Summer Reading Grant Program has continued its third year supporting summer reading programs in small rural communities in partnership with the South Dakota Community Foundation (SDCF) and the South Dakota State Library (SDSL). The program has distributed $25,000 to libraries in rural communities across South Dakota.
