The second week of Session began Tuesday, Jan. 21, with a voteonSenateJointResolution 502 which applies for a convention of states to impose fiscal restraints, limit the powers of the Federal Government and impose term limits on members ofCongress.TheNational Debt continues to grow, and burdensome regulations are being created all the time. SJR 502 passed the Senate, 23-9. I voted in favor.

It was a busy but successful week for the Bon Homme/ Scotland/Avon girls wrestling teamastheywererunner-upat BattleCreek(January20),third at Pierre (January 24), and first at Chamberlain (January 25).

PIRATES TAKE THUNDER INTO OVERTIME

A last second shot at the buzzer had the Pirates tied up with Andes Central/Dakota Christian in their matchup Thursday night. This was a battle throughout and both teams deserved to win but at the end of the overtime buzzer, the Pirates found themselves down 60-65.
