Ashley Maire Tolsma is the daughter of Jeff Tolsma and Misty Hanvey and the stepdaughter of Joe Hanvey. Ashleyhastensiblings:Kim, Beau, Cameron, Chapin, Cale, Charlie, Dylan, Jake, Cody,andKatlyn.Sheenjoys reading, lifting, spending time at the gym, hanging out with Cameron, wrestling, and playing softball. Ashley’s schedule is filled with many intriguing subjects, but her favorite would have to be Anatomy/Physiology, because she finds it interesting and fun. One quote Ashley lives by is, “It is what it is,” because it reminds her to roll with the punches and not get sour about difficult situations. Ashley’s biggest role model in her life is her dad because he has always been there for her, and he always knows what to do. Ashley’s advice to underclassmen, “Just take your time on things and don’t stress out too much like I did.”

Carmindy Joy Ferwerda was born on June 12, 2007 to Angie and Randy Ferwerda. Carmindy has one sibling named Justin. In her free time,sheenjoysshowingbeef cattle,dairycattle,anddairy goats in 4H. Carmindy’s favorite subject in school was biology because she found it interesting how organisms interact with each other and their surroundings. Thismonth’sfeaturedvolunteer firefighter is Gregg Voigt. Gregg has been a member of the Avon Volunteer Fire Department for the past 20 years and is one of the first members of his family that he knows of to serveasafirefighter.Froma young age, Gregg knew that he wanted to be a firefighter. Duringhischildhood,Gregg had to extinguish a lawn mower fire at his grandparent’s farm.Afterthefirewas contained, seeing the look of relief and appreciation on his grandparents’ faces showed Gregg that being a firefighter was going to be a part of his future and would fit well with his disposition.
