Wake services for Amelia Zephier, 27, of Sioux Falls, were held Wednesday, December 31 at the Holy Spirit Episcopal Church in Wagner. Funeral services were January 1 at the church. A Celebration of Amelia’s Life will be held at a later date with inurnment in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery, rural Greenwood. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

Helen O'Connor, 77, of Lake Andes, died Tuesday, December 30, 2025 at the Lake Andes Senior Living Center in Lake Andes. Funeral services were Monday, January 5 at St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Marty. Burial was in St. Paul’s Catholic Cemetery, Marty. Wake services began Saturday at the White Swan Community Center in Lake Andes. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner was in charge of arrangements.

MITCHELL TECHNICAL COLLEGE ANNOUNCES FALL SEMESTER 2025 PRESIDENT'S LIST

A total of 395 students at Mitchell Technical College have been placed on the Fall Semester 2025 President’s List, according to MTC President Theresa Kriese. To be named to the list, students must earn a term GPA of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and be registered for at least 12 credit hours of academic work during the semester. The individuals listed met these requirements for the Fall 2025 semester. Students marked with an * earned a 4.0 GPA this semester.
