MISSOULA CHIDLREN'S THEATRE'S PERFORMANCE OF BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE

The performance of the Missoula Children’s Theatre’s BLACKBEARD THE PIRATE will be held Friday, November 3at 1:30 p.m. at Marty Indian School in the New Gym. The cast of 50 to 60 will be picked from students in kindergarten through 12th grade. The public is invited to attend the performance at no charge.

ORAL INTERP TEAM BRINGS HOME AWARDS FROM YANKTON LEWIS & CLARK ORAL INTERP COMPETITION

The Avon Oral Interp team competed at the Yankton Lewis & Clark Oral Interp Invite October 28th. The following students received awards: Kate Swier and Ashley Tolsma - 1st place Duet, Erica Cahoy and Jake Namminga - 2nd place Duet, Ella Hamilton and Abby Gretschmann - 4th place Duet, Readers Theater (Lexi Vanderlei, Abby Gretschmann, Jake Namminga, Hope Kemnitz, and Ella Hamilton) - 1st place, Ashley Tolsma - 1st place Humorous, Charli Simpson - 4th place Humorous, Kate Swier - 1st place Storytelling, Lexi Vanderlei - 2nd place Non-original Oratory, and Erica Cahoy - 4th place Poetry. 1ST AND 2ND GRADERS UNDEFEATED AND LEAGUE CHAMPIONS

The Avon first and second graders ended their season undefeated and were Champions of the Yankton Sertoma Flag Football League. 'These kids grew so much as a team from last year to this year, and were such a joy to watch. They have a bright future and we're looking forward to watching it!' commented Volunteer Coach Nathan Schultz.
