The team consisted of two women and three men accompanied by two tour guides. They called themselves the “Wiradjuri Mob.” They were escorted from Winner, South Dakota, where they toured the school and tribal locations and arrived in Wagner at 10:00 at Wagner Community School. Superintendent Matt Yost, Rotary President Becky Brunsing, and Rotarians Patty Frei and Linda Soukup were present for the greeting and the brief overview of the WCS which was followed by a personal escorted tour through the facility by Superintendent Yost.

Read moreYour Wagner Red Raider football team traveled to Sisseton on Friday night to spoil the Redmen’s homecoming with an 18-15 win. Leading the charge offensively for the Raiders was Gannon Knebel with 138 yards rushing and one touchdown on the ground. Knebel also added a 20 yard touchdown pass to senior Wr Karstyn Lhotak. Knebel’s backfield partner Jhett Breen also contributed 123 yards rushing and took the opening kickoff 85 yards for a touchdown. Breen was sprung free by great blocks from Javian Pesika, Bain Kuhlman, and Braxton Knudson. The Red Raider O-line has been paving the way so far this season. That group includes Seniors Tim Bouza and Braxton Knudson. Juniors Parker Petry and Kahle Hill. Followed by sophomore tackle Kobe Drapeau. The Raiders rushing attack is averaging just under 300 yards rushing per game this season largely because of this groups efforts.
Read moreOn Tuesday, September 12th Wagner traveled to Winner to compete in varsity, junior varsity, and middle school golf. Carter Smejkal took 35th place in the varsity division. Avery Medicine Bear placed 11th and Paxton Kuhlman placed 12th in the junior varsity division. Kason Jonas took home 15th place in the middle school division.
