WAGNER SWEEPS BON HOMME IN 3 SETS

The Wagner Volleyball team traveled to Tyndall on Tuesday, September 20th. All three levels came away with wins over the Cavaliers. The Varsity won in 3 straight sets with scores of 25-20, 25-14, and 25-11. The JV won in two sets with scores of 25-11 and 26-24, and the C team won in two sets as well with scores of 25-18 and 25-21.

LADY RAIDERS DOMINATE WILDCATS

The Wagner Volleyball team came out ready to play on Thursday night for their homecoming match. With that win the Raiders record improves to 16-2 on the season. Scores of the match were 25-14, 25-12, and 25-13.

RAIDERS FALL TO TRAPPERS IN HOMECOMING GAME

Wagner Red Raiders football team hosted the Trappers of Jim River last Friday night. The Trappers came away with a 19-0 victory. Inconsistencies in our play are hindering our chances. We have a great throw and catch to set us up on the opponents 2-yard line, but penalty takes us back to mid-field. Gap responsibilities in our defense, is to be desired. Sometimes it looks picture perfect, and we stop the opponent, other times we lose our gap, and they crack off a huge run and a new set of downs.

WAGNER BOYS GOLF COMPETES AT FISH LAKE

The Wagner Boys Golf team traveled to Plankington to compete against Winner and Chamberlain. Only two members of the team were able to compete, but it was important to get a competitive round of golf in before regions next week. Matt Link and Colby Krcil both golfed well on the day but did not place as the meet didn’t have awards. This was the last regular season meet and both golfers have gradually improved all season long. Our next meet will be Monday, September 26th in Mitchell for region 3A and a chance to compete in state.

ANDES CENTRAL/DAKOTA CHRISTIAN/ TRIPP-DELMONT/ARMOUR FOOTBALL

AC/DC-TDA football team played a home game at Armour against Woonsocket/Wessington Springs/Sanborn Central on Friday night. The Thunderhawks fell to the Blackhawks 0-25. Their next game is in Tripp on Friday the 30th at 7:00 p.m. Come cheer on your Thunderhawks!
