73RD ANNUAL CZECH DAYS TO BE HELD IN TABOR ONJUNE 17 AND 18, 2022

Merriam’s Midway Shows carnival on the midway and the Craft Fair & Sue Souhrada Memorial Quilt Show in the school gym kick off the 73rd Annual Czech Days celebration on Thursday, June 16th. The Tabor Bluebirds baseball game with Lesterville will be at 7:30 p.m. in Leonard Cimpl Park followed by the Rich Schild Memorial fireworks display to conclude the first day of the Czech Days celebration.

AVON’S 18U SOFTBALL TEAM KICKS OFF SEASON

Avon’s 18U softball team kicked off its season hosting Tyndall on Wednesday, June 1. In game 1 Tyndall jumped out to an early 1-0 lead. Avon was able to tie the game in the bottom of the 5th but Tyndall sealed it with runs in the 6th. For Avon, Lydia Yost and Macy Voigt led the way with 2 hits apiece. Reece Loewe had a hit, a walk, and scored a run. Sam Brodeen added a RBI. On the mound Yost threw a complete game, giving up 4 hits, 2 earned runs, striking out 9 and walking 3.

As we move closer to the 605 Unity JAM on Sunday, June 12 and the fun and interesting activities that will be a part of this day it is important to understand that this event is much more than just music, art and food.
