GOLF RESULTS

The Avon varsity golf team, made up of Sophomore girl McKenna Kocmich and Freshmen boys Trevor Eggers and Gunnar Voigt, have been on the course despite tough weather conditions. The team members have participated in several golf meets and they have had quite a bit of success to highlight thus far in the 2022 season. Kocmich has placed in each of her four events this season, including a 6th place finish in the Class B Classic at Lakeview Golf Course in Mitchell, a 5th place finish at the SESDSS meet at Fox Run Golf Course in Yankton, a 4th place finish at the Burke/Gregory Invitational at Burke Golf Course, and a 9th place finish in the Great Plains Conference meet at Bon Homme Country Club, which was shortened to a 9 hole event due to rain. On the boys side Eggers and Voigt have only participated in two varsity events and one JV event. Eggers placed 3rd at the Corsica-Stickney/Platte-Geddes JV Invite at Dakota Trails Golf Course and 15th in the Great Plains Conference meet at Scotland Golf Course. Good Luck the rest of the season, GO Pirates.
