Another one of this week’s senior spotlights features Julia Bruguier. Julia is the daughter of Drew and Jayette Bruguier. During Julia’s high school years at Wagner Community School, she has been involved in several extracurricular activities including JAG (two years) and Student Council (one year).

Read moreThe meeting was brought to order on a blistery Wednesday by President Jordan Weber’s ring of the bell. He led the group in prayer, and then Rotarian Margaret Doom introduced her guest, her husband Noah Bensen. Song leader Geritt Juffer led the group in a dreadful rendition of “Let Me Call You Sweetheart,' which was not sweet at all, in honor of the upcoming Valentines Day holiday. There was no membership minute today.
Read moreAfter 74 years of service to the Wagner Community Memorial Hospital – Avera, the hospital auxiliary will be dissolving as of February 26th at their final meeting. The Wagner Hospital Auxiliary was first established in January of 1951 with the only requirements for membership being paying yearly dues and having an interest in the hospital. The Tyndall Hospital Auxiliary helped the Wagner chapter establish their Constitution and By-laws, which included their mission statement. The mission of the auxiliary is to “be a united endeavor of the members to establish and promote the interests and general welfare of the Wagner Community Memorial Hospital.” The Wagner Hospital Auxiliary is one of only seven hospital auxiliaries left in South Dakota, the other units are Burke, Rapid City, Huron, Redfield, Mobridge and Aberdeen.
