The combination of nerves and excitement were evident amongst the girls and coaches for this first game. The excitement soon pushed ahead of the nerves and the girls slid into a 2-0 lead over the Gayville-Volin Raiders with some confidence and determination in the box to get things started in the top of the 2nd.

Read moreAvon had 8 archers that attended the 2023 state NASP tournamentattheBlackHills State University in Spearfish on Friday, March 31st. The tournament is sponsored by the South Dakota Game Fish and Parks. Categories included were Bullseye and 3D animal targets. Top archer from Avon was Noah Watchorn tying for 9th place inbothcategoriesforthehigh school boys division.
