The Wagner Red Raiders traveled to Elk Point to take on the Huskies in the second round of the 11 B play-offs last Thursday night. The boys didn’t finish the season the way they wanted, but they battled to the end.

Read moreThe Wagner Lady Red Raiders competed in the SESD tournament held in Wagner on Saturday, October 23rd. Wagner started off with Gregory and were upset by the Lady Spikers with scores of 26-24, 21-25, and 22-25. Then in the 2nd round they faced Mount Vernon-Plankinton and were defeated in 2 sets with scores of 19-25 and 21-25. Wagner then regrouped and then took care of Chamberlain with scores of 25-7 and 25-10. Then the final match of the day was against Bon Homme and Wagner defeated them with scores of 25-8 and 25-18.
Read more"The 2021 Cross Country started with 13 runners reporting for the sport. When the season was completed 13 runners were still competing. We went to 8 regular meets and then the regions and then the qualifiers went on to state in Sioux Falls. Rilyn Thury and Tyler Tjeerdsma qualified for the state meet. (The top 25 runners from each region qualify). Rilyn finished in the 96th place in the state while Tyler finished in 44th and his personal best time for this year.

Read moreOn Tuesday, October 19th, the Lady Pirates hosted the Corsica/ Stickney Jaguars. Tiffany Pelton took charge at the Lady Pirate net with 17 kills. She rounded out her stats with four digs, three blocks, one ace serve and one set assist. Courtney Sees followed with 8 kills, 13 digs and three ace serves. McKenna Kocmich put up 28 set assists, 11 digs and one block. Reese Powers tallied two blocks, one kill and one set assist while Katie Gretschmann had 16 digs. Sam Brodeen contributed six kills, six digs and one ace serve for The Lady Pirates. Makayla Kopp added five digs and two ace serves and Reece Loewe came away with three kills and one block.
