The Andes Central/Dakota Christian Thunder Cross Country Girls Varsity Team took second place in the Great Plains Conference Meet held in Burke on September 30. Leading the way was Lexi Schoenfelder, 2nd place in the Conference (21:20), Anna DeHaan 5th (21:42), and Sonya Hansum 25th (25:39). Team Scores for the GPC were: Gayville-Volin (30), Andes Central/Dakota Christian (32), Burke (34), Freeman Academy/ Marion (34), Centerville (35), Alcester-Hudson (39), Scotland (47), and Avon (54).

There were a few sparks for the Raiders throughout the game, but too few to play with the #1 rated Warriors. We had our chances to be competitive in the game but missed assignments gave up big plays. Winner is a very good team. It is hard to duplicate the quickness of Winner at practice.
