Read moreThe volleyball season ended for the Wagner Red Raiders the 18th of November, but for senior, Macy Koupal, there was a bit more to be added to her season. Macy was one of three of the Lady Raiders to play in the South Dakota All-Star Volleyball Match which included other seniors from all across the eastern part of South Dakota. Macy was also in the running for the 2023 SD Miss Volleyball Class A title and was named honorable mention as a candidate for the 2023 Midco Sports South Dakota High School Class A Volleyball Player of the Year.
Read moreThe Wagner boys basketball team played in Menno Tuesday night. The Raiders started off hot outscoring the Wolves 18-5 in the first period. Wagner was consistent in the first half, putting up 18 in the second quarter also and led 36-13 at the half. The boys defense remained strong holding Menno to 6 points in the third period and 9 points in the fourth winning the game by a final score of 60-28. Preston McFayden led the scoring with 18 points, Parker Petry and Carter Cournoyer dominated the paint, each of them had 12 points, Carter grabbed 9 rebound and blocked 4 shots. Joey Cournoyer Jr. scored 9 points and had 4 steals. Javian Pesicka scored 5 points, Brady Cournoyer had 3 points, and Carlos Galindo scored 1. Wagner outrebounded Menno 40-28. The boys record stands at 2-1.
