ORAL INTERP TEAM HAS SUCCESS AT STATE

Congratulations to the Avon Oral Interp Team on their success at the State Oral Interpretation Festival in Huron. Of the seven events, the Avon District qualified six events for the State Festival. The following students received gold medals for receiving a superior rating during the competition. The Avon Team also was awarded a Class B Team Excellence Award for their success at the event.

A private Celebration of Betty’s Life was held Saturday November 27, 2021 at Peters Funeral Home in Wagner. Burial was in the ZCBJ Cemetery, rural Wagner.

Rotary News

The day before Thanksgiving, November 24th the Wagner Rotary Club met for its weekly meeting. The President rang the bell and announced, “A Happy Thanksgiving to All.” Guests were introduced by Kathe Henke who brought her good friend Karen Schneider from Pickstown. Kathe had an ulterior motive however, Karen is an accomplished pianist, and we needed one for our singing portion of the program. Gerrit Juffer brought Frank Kloucek and Sharon Harr to the meeting as guests.
