KDKO began giving this award in 2017 to our 3 local basketball teams, the Andes Central/Dakota Christian, Marty Indian and Wagner schools. Unfortunately, in 2020 we did not award a player of the year due to the pandemic.

The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary had a very successful Soup and Sandwich Luncheon and Bake Sale on Thursday, March 31. The Auxiliary would appreciates all of those who attended and all of those who donated. All of the proceeds will help veterans, military families, and children and youth in the community. Lake Andes Fire Department received their Self-contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) mask this weekend. This was a joint grant between Charles Mix and Douglas County. The grant was an AFGE grant that was awarded in 2021. Lake Andes received six SCBA and Ravinia received three SCBA.
