JV, C-TEAM LADY RAIDERS FALL TO ELK POINT

The JV team was defeated 51-48 in a close game as well. Peytyn Wiechmann and Clarah Soukup led the Raiders with 13 points apiece. Clarah would add 7 boards, 5 steals, and dish out 3 assists. Peytyn would grab 4 boards, and dish out 4 assists. TyShay Medicine Bear would add 12 points while Raeyon Fool Bull 4 and Teagan Langdeaux 4.

NAIL-BITER FOR JV, DOMINANT EFFORT BY C TEAM

The JV team lost in another nail biter 34-31. Clarah Soukup led all scorers with 14 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and 3 steals. TyShay Medicine Bear added 5 point, 5 rebounds. Peytyn Wiechmann added 4 points 3 boards, and 3 steals. Valencia Big Bear finished with 3 points while Olivia Podzimek added 2. “We are giving ourselves a chance every game. We lead nearly 80% of this game and just couldn’t finish. We had 20 turnovers and were 6-16 from the charity stripe so we are there just need to take advantage of what is given to us and then do a better job of taking care of the ball.”

JV AND C TEAM FALL SHORT IN WINNER MATCHUPS

The C team got their first action in a while on Saturday in Winner. The boys trailed 9-5 after the first period and 18-15 at half time. The C team played right with a good Winner team but couldn’t get a lead late in the game and lost 41-33. Ryan Gullickson scored a game high 16 points for Wagner, Ron Knudsen added 12, Bailer Lhotak scored 3 and Russell Standing Cloud scored 2. The Wagner JV Boys team fell behind early, trailing 17-6 after the first quarter. Wagner held Winner to 3 points in the second period and trailed 20-16 at half time. Winner outscored Wagner 18-5 in the third period and went on to win the game 40-27. Colton Zephier, Jakhi Tiger, and Payne Petry each scored 6 points for Wagner. Jackson Woods and Ryan Gullickson each scored 3 points, Avery Medicine Bear scored 2, and Jacob Kotab added 1.
