When people talk about skin cancer the type that most people think about is melanoma. This skin cancer follows the ABCDE rules for diagnosis. A – Asymmetry, B – irregular Border, C – more than 1 Color, D – Diameter more than 6 mm, and E – expanding in size. However, these rules will not help find the most common type of skin cancer called a basal cell carcinoma.

WAGNER HOSTS BON HOMME

After the big storm the Raiders had to push the reset button once again. It was 7 days since their last game and only one practice in that time the Raiders hosted the Cavaliers from Bon Homme last Friday night in girls basketball action. Both teams would start out a bit sluggish with the ball bouncing around a bit. After the Raider would brush the rust off Wagner would open up a 20-11 first quarter lead. The Raiders would increase their lead after out scoring Bon Homme 24-4 in the second holding a 44-15 halftime lead. Wagner would out score the Cavaliers 23-13 in the second half winning the game 67-28. Wagner would shoot 52% from the floor converting on 28-54 shots while holding Bon Homme to 27%, 9-33 from the floor. Wagner would dominate the glass 34-7. The Raider would commit 12 turnovers compared to 21 from Bon Homme. The Raiders would dish out 23 assists. The Raiders would be led in scoring by Ashlyn Koupal with 23 points, 5 rebounds, a team high in both steals and assists with 6 apiece. Emma Yost would record another double-double with 18 points, 13 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 steals. Shalayne Nagel would be the third Raider in double figures with 11 points, 3 boards, 5 assists, and 5 steals. Macy Koupal would finish with 7 points, 4 rebounds, and 5 assists. Lydia Yost would net 6 points, grab 3 boards, and dish out 2 assists. Eve Zephier would round out the scoring with 2 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 4 steals. “I thought the girls responded well due the circumstances they were dealt with the weather. We aren’t in our game tip-top shape as fatigue showed. After having 10 first half turnover we did a much better job the second half of taking care of the basketball. Offensively we did a great job of executing and on the defensive end we did a nice job of taking away their screen and roll.”

WAGNER HOSTS CORSICA-STICKNEY

The Raiders hosted Corsica- Stickney on last Saturday after they defeated Bon Homme Friday night. Wagner would again jump out to an early 26-10 lead. Wagner would out score the Jaguars 33-15 in the 2nd and third period and roll to a 67-33 victory. Ashlyn Koupal would lead all scorers with 27 points, 5 boards, 3 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Emma Yost would post back to back double-doubles with 17 points, 12 boards, 5 assists, 2 steals, and 2 blocks. Lydia Yost would reach double figures with 10 points, 3 steals, and 2 assists. Shalayne Nagel would net 8 points, grab 3 boards, dish out 4 assists and get 3 steals. Macy Koupal would finish with 3 points, grab 5 boards, dish out a game high 7 assists, and come away with 3 steals. Eve Zephier would round out the scoring with 2 points, 5 assists and 3 steals. Wagner would shoot 55% from the field 28-51 while the Jaguars would shoot 13-38 for 34%. Wagner would out rebound their opponent 29-17. Wagner would commit 8 turnovers compared to 18 from the Jaguars. “Another all-around team effort on both ends. We shot the ball well, delivered some great passes both in transition and the half court. Hit perimeter shots when we needed to. Now we need to refocus for next week as we got three games Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.”
