CONSTRUCTION AT THE WAGNER COMMUNITY SCHOOL

For most Wagner residents, it is no surprise to see construction happening at the Wagner Community School. This year is no exception. Construction began in early April with the dirt work for the WCS garage project and demolition of four existing bathrooms within the school. The school is constructing a 6,500 square foot garage for vehicles and maintenance storage west of the high school parking lot. When completed there will be five garage stalls for vehicles and two oversized stalls for maintenance storage.

WAGNER TRAVELS TO SIOUX FALLS

The Wagner Red Raiders traveled to Sioux Falls to take on the Sioux Falls Christian Chargers on Saturday, May 4th and started off with a nice lead, but could not hold on and fell to the Chargers 18-8. Mara Wright stepped in the circle first for the Red Raiders pitching three and one-third innings, walking ten. Braxton Nedved finished the last two innings in the circle walking three.

WAGNER AT HANSON

Wagner was defeated by Hanson April 29th, with a score of 16-1. Braxton Nedved was in the circle for the Red Raiders striking out one and walking four.

HOWARD WOOD DAKOTA RELAYS

On Friday and Saturday, May 3rd and 4th, Wagner took some select athletes to Sioux Falls to compete in the Howard Wood Dakota Relays.

WAGNER PARTICIPATES IN DAKOTA VALLEY RELAYS

On Tuesday, April 23, Wagner traveled to Dakota Dunes to participate in the Dakota Valley Relays. There was some stiff competition at this meet. While some personal bests were gained there was not a lot of placing for Wagner’s teams.

LITTLE RED RAIDERS VOLLEYBALL CAMP

The Wagner Little Red Raiders Volleyball camp was held April 29, 30 and May 1st. We had 34 campers attend the camp to learn more about volleyball. The girls worked hard and had a lot of fun! The future looks bright! Courtesy photo.
