ATTORNEY GENERAL AND LAW ENFORCEMENT ASSOCIATIONS SUPPORT PRISON PLAN

PIERRE, S.D. – Attorney General Marty Jackley and three South Dakota law enforcement associations issued statements of support for the new prison plan. The South Dakota State’s Attorneys Association, the South Dakota Sheriffs’ Association, and the South Dakota Police Chiefs’ Association agreed on the significant need for a new prison, encouraging legislators to move forward with the proposed plan.

Emma Reck - 5th Grade

Ms. Emma Reck teaches 5th grade and grew up in Sioux Falls. She attended Northern State University, where she earned her degree in Elementary Education. As a student she enjoyed Social Studies, and now as a teacher she loves guiding her students through both Language Arts and Social Studies.

Mrs. Smith, who teaches PreK, grew up in Yankton and carried her love of learning to South Dakota State University where she earned two bachelor’s degrees, one in Early Childhood Education and another in Animal Science. As a student, she always enjoyed Social Studies, and today she brings that same curiosity and excitement into her own classroom.
