The 1st annual Zach Johnson Legacy Golf Tournament was held Saturday, July 23rd at the Bon Homme Golf Course. The tournament was a four person scramble format, with 30 teams (120 golfers), and many family and friends that attended and helped with set up, registration, food, and monitoring. There were over 60 businesses that provided hole sponsorships for the day. The Championship flight winning team was Adam Myers, Brock Tucker, Marshall Einrem and Zac Minder.

Thanks to the kindness and generosity of friends and family, I’ve done quite a bit of fishing this year. This action included Francis Case Reservoir, Saskatchewan, area bass ponds, and lately Wisconsin’s Lakes Mendota and Winnebago. Using light spinning tackle, I’ve been fortunate enough to land northern pike, walleye, largemouth bass, and smallmouth bass that would look good on the cover of any outdoor publication. I’ve kept a few smallmouths and walleyes for the table, but what I relished most is the actual fight. With all, I eagerly look forward to seeing what’s actually on the end of my line though I can usually tell by the nature of the fight.

As a physician with 45 years of practice, I’ve seen my share of diseases. I have usually been on the physician side of the diagnosis-treatment paradigm. However, knowing the rationale for diagnostic screening tests, I fortunately did not shirk my own.

The 6th Annual Charles Mix Saddle Club SDRA Rodeo was held in Geddes Saturday, July 16 and Sunday, July 17. Thanks to the much needed rain in the area, the spectators filled the stands to watch the action in a mud filled arena which proved to be a challenge for some. Photos by Barb Pechous

July 13th the Wagner Rotary started a new year. Our calendar year runs from July 1st to June 30th. There were two fresh faces at the head table to greet us. Rachel Woods is the new President and Jordan Weber is the new Sergeant at Arms. Rotarian Craig Krsnak will continue as our club Secretary/Treasurer.

The Dante City Council presented the Ernie Kocer Family with a plaque honoring Ernie Kocer for his dedicated years to the City of Dante. He was a City Trustee for 46 years. Along with his Trustee duties, Ernie & Theresa did numerous hours of volunteer work for Dante.
