The macula is the part of the retina providing sharp, detailed vision needed for reading, driving, and recognizing faces. Two categories of macular degeneration are “dry” and “wet”. Cole Johnson

Mr. Cole Johnson is both a teacher and coach at Andes Central. He teaches Middle School Math and is the Head Coach for wrestling as well as the coach for the Junior High football team. Cole grew up on the out skirts of Sioux Falls surrounded by open land and corn fields before the area became too crowded amidst the house building boom. There he attended West Central School District until his family moved out to White Lake in 2006.

Mrs. Dawn Kitchenmaster teaches Kindergarten at Andes Central School. She grew up on a farm outside of Hawarden, Iowa. After graduating high school she attended college in Orange City, Iowa at Northwestern College. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Elementary Education and a Minor in Elementary Music.
