ROG’S AUTO ADDS STATE OF THE ART EQUIPMENT TO THE SHOP

Dave’s Motor Supply was owned and operated by Roger Blaha’s father in 1974. In 2009, Roger followed in his father’s footsteps and bought the business from his dad, rebranding it as Rog’s Auto. Roger has been working on vehicles since he was an 8th grader when he began working for his dad in the shop. After graduating from high school, Roger attended the University of South Dakota at Springfield for his bachelor’s degree in automotive before becoming Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certified. After that the rest is history and Rog has been a mechanic ever since.

Funeral services for Frank Huapapi, 74, of Wagner were held Tuesday, June 4 at the YST South Gym in Wagner. Burial was in the Holy Fellowship Episcopal Cemetery in Greenwood.

Funeral services for Thomas H. Aungie, 59, of Wagner were held Saturday, June 8 at the YST South Gym in Wagner. Burial was at the Hill Church Presbyterian Cemetery, rural Dante. Peters Funeral Home of Wagner was in charge of services.

SCHOFIELD’S REBRAND AND REVAMP LOCAL MOTEL

The Circle H Motel & RV Campground has a new name and new owners. Mark and Angela Schofield officially purchased the Circle H Motel & RV Campground in January of 2024. Along with new ownership comes a rebranding of the motel. The Schofield’s decided that The Lake Andes Inn was a much better fit for the hotel. Another reason that they renamed the motel was because they felt there was a disconnect with the name and the area.
