WAGNER TRIANGULAR WRESTLING RESULTS

The Raiders continued action last week with a triangular Thursday night in Wagner against Burke-Gregory and Winner for Wagner parents night. The Raiders also competed in Howard with 17 other teams Saturday and finished in 6th place as a team. We left Howard with one champion, Gannon Knebel, two runner up finishes Karstyn Lhotak and Jhett Breen, and one third place finish Riley Roberts. As a whole, the team competed well Thursday and Saturday, and we look forward to our final tournament before Christmas break in Elk Point Saturday December 16th.

ANDES CENTRAL MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL CHRISTMAS CONCERT

Andes Central Middle School and High School presented their Christmas Concert December 7th under the direction of Julie Rysavy. The concert choir sung 'Heaven Everywhere', 'On a Silent Night, Long, Long Ago' and 'Holly Jolly Christmas'. The concert band sixth graders presented 'Jingle Bells', 'Wassail March' and 'Jolly Olde St. Nicholas'. ANDES STUDENTS READ TO SUPPORT NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH

Students and staff at Andes Central were invited to read books with a Native American theme and/or written by an Indigenous author during November in honor of Native American Heritage Month. After reading, students completed an entry slip which included writing a sentence sharing what they thought about each book. Participants gathered in the school library last Friday for the drawing of prizes. In total, 36 people joined the reading challenge and read 115 Native books.
