The Wagner American Legion Auxiliary celebrated National Education Week November 14th by bringing homemade cookies to the Wagner Community School for all of the staff to enjoy. Sandy Seiner, Auxiliary Education Chairman organized the baking and bundling of the goodies. Bonnie Soukup, Margie Stone, June Stone, Sandy Seiner and Alyssa Mathis all baked cookies for the event. The cookies were divided into nine plates and delivered to the nine different offices/areas of the school including pre-school, elementary, middle school, high school, business office, special education, food service, janitors and transportation.

Read moreTwo Wagner students, Madison Robertson and Emma Kreeger under the guidance of their FFA Advisor, Evan Papousek, attended the National FFA Convention in Indianapolis, IN October 31st- November 4th. Evan and the students drove to Beresford where they joined the Garretson, Menno, Tyndall and Wessington Springs FFA chapters to share a charter bus for the 12-hour trip the convention.
Read moreAt the last meeting of the South-Central ABATE chapter Saturday, November 11th, the chapter presented checks to local cancer organizations. They were able to present to three local cancer organizations which included the Wagner Cancer Walk and Rummage, the Pickstown Pink Ladies and Wings of Hope of Platte. Each organization was presented with a $2,500 check. The donations come from the chapter’s sponsorships, money raised from the annual poker run and selling raffle tickets.
