Read moreThe Awana students from First Baptist Church will be doing Trick or Treat so Others Can Eat on Wednesday, October 26th. From 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. they will be going around town collecting non-perishable items to be given to the food pantry. Items moving quickly at the pantry are: canned vegetables (they have plenty of corn), corn bread mix, hot and cold cereals, flour, sugar, pasta and sauce. Ketchup, mustard, mayo, Miracle Whip, peanut butter, jellies and jams, hamburger helper, canned meats, facial tissue, bathroom tissues, paper towels, shampoo, toothpaste, adult tooth brushes, dish soap, and laundry detergent.

The Wagner Community School is looking for ways to get our community more involved with our extra curricular activities. One of the ways the school is going about this is asking businesses in town to sponsor our home events. The school is asking businesses to come up with ways to sponsor the events in a way that would enhance the experience of the fans. The school is stressing that they do not want the sponsorships to benefit the teams or athletes directly. Our goal is to have all of our high school athletic events sponsored.
