Grain Bin Training

Lake Andes Fire Department held a grain bin training on Thursday, September 29th. This was free providedbyNationWideInsurance and many sponsors including local sponsor, CHS. They had 1,800 applicants and Lake Andes was one of the 65 chosen fire departments. NECAS supplied the rescue tubes, grain bin auger and instructors to train the twelve volunteer firefighters who participated, each one was put into a homemade bin and then they use the auger to remove the grain away from the victim in the rescue tube.
