Youth from the Charles Mix County 4-H Shooting Sports program qualified for State Shoot. They traveled to Ft. Pierre on April 25-27. Charles Mix County was well represented, as there were many awards received.

In case you don’t know what that is, Rogation Sunday is a day when the church comes together to pray for the health and welfare of our agriculturally based community. The word “rogation” comes from the word “rogare” which means “to ask or request.” It means that we as God’s people recognize that if we are going to have a successful harvest; if we are going to be able to feed ourselves and the world; if we are going to have any chance for a good return on our sowing of seeds we need to ask God for help.
