18U GIRLS SOFTBALL RESULTS

Wednesday, July 2 Avon 18U headed to Plankinton to face Mt. Vernon Venom 16s in a doubleheader. In game one Avon took a 2-0 lead in the top of the first and continued on scoring again in the 2nd, 4th, and 5th innings. Avon was able to outhit Venom 11-4 in the contest. Jordyn Voigt, Rilyn Thury, Macy Voigt, and Abby Gretschmann each had 2 hits in the game, while Lydia Yost, Kaeli Wallinga, and Mackenzie Titze each had one hit. Yost pitched for Avon, allowing 1 earned run on 4 hits over 5 innings. She struck out 10 in the game.
