Funeral Mass for Marie Soukup, 90, of Wagner will be held Wednesday, May 25 at 10:30 a.m., at St John’s Catholic Church in Wagner. Burial is in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery, rural Wagner. Visitation will be at the church on Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m., followed by Rosary/ Wake services at 7 p.m. Peters Funeral Home in Wagner is in charge of arrangements.

On Wednesday, Mary 18th, Fillin President Rachel Woods rang the bell to bring the meeting to order. Guests were introduced, including Wanda Weber, guest pianist, and Dana Sanderson, guest of Ken Cotton. Ken Cotton led the group in prayer.

AMERICAN LEGION AUXILIARY POPPY COLORING CONTEST

Wagner Community students recently submitted entries in the American Legion Auxiliary Wagner Greer Unit #11 Poppy Coloring Contest. Coloring pages were judged on how well the student followed directions, neatness, and overall eye appeal. The first and second place winners received a cash prize. MAIN STREET GREENHOUSE OPENS JUST IN TIME FOR SPRING.

Josh Scott and Chass Powers recently opened Main Street Greenhouse in Wagner, offering flowering varieties and vegetables. Mensch Greenhouse, Inc., a family owned wholesale greenhouse operation in Avon is the greenhouse supplier. BOMGAARS HOST ANNUAL LADIES' NIGHT TO SUPPORT CANCER CARE

Bomgaars hosts an annual Ladies’ Night and commits a percentage of the proceeds to help support cancer care in our community. The Wagner Bomgaars store has selected Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera as a recipient to improve cancer care. The Wagner Community Memorial Hospital-Avera was able to purchase a chair with the help of these proceeds. With the options of massage, heat, adjustments and extra support this chair will help make the time spent during cancer treatments more comfortable for our community members. Thank you to the community for shopping at Ladies’ Night to support this opportunity! We appreciate the Wagner Bomgaars for supporting cancer care in our community!
