Brenda (Bucholz) Jennings, 59, died Saturday, May 9, 2020 at her home in Bancroft. A private family service was held May 16 at Osthus Funeral Home in De Smet. Burial followed at Le-Sueur Cemetery, rural Bancroft.

Brenda Darlene Bucholz was born Febraury 22, 1961, to David Jr. and Mary (Canfield) Bucholz at Wagner. She graduated from Wagner High School. After graduation, she worked for the DOT at Mitchell; Raven’s and Wilbrecht’s Electronics at Huron and the Kingsbury County Highway Department at DeSmet. Most recently, she was working for ROCS Transit at De Smet.

She was united in marriage to Paul Jennings on June 6, 1998 at Bancroft. The couple had one son, David.

Brenda loved to hunt and fish, and enjoyed the outdoors riding ATV’s or mowing the yard.

She is survived by her husband, Paul, Bancroft; son, David (Desire’) Jennings, Bancroft; three grandchildren: Emily, Blake and Brooke Jennings, Bancroft; her sister, Tammy (Jim) Thornton, Wagner; her uncles Art Canfield, Avon and Benjamin Canfield, WA; aunts Mildred Ramsdell, Wagner and Bess Houska, Yankton; her mother-in-law, Mary Jennings, Bancroft; sisters-in-law, Karen Jennings, Peggy Jennings and Paula Blue; one niece and several nephews and cousins, and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her sisters, Ruth Abdvis and Jeanne Anderson.
