Sioux Falls — Feeding South Dakota is joining Feeding America and hunger- relief organizations nationwide in recognizing Hunger Action Month this September, a month dedicated to raising awareness about food insecurity and inspiring action to help neighbors facing hunger.

I’m really excited to introduce Abbey Martin (Cuke). Abbey is an alumna of Avon High School who graduated in 2010. After high school, she went on to attend Lake Area Technical Institute, where she earned an associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant.

This week’s Senior Spotlight is Hadlee Faith Kracht. Hadlee was born December 31, 2008. Hadlee is the daughter of Shane and Ranessa and sister to Hannah, Harper, and Hayden. She has enjoyed making memories and participating in many activities during her time at Avon High School.

A little rain didn’t stop shoppers from checking out the food and vendor booths at Wagner’s Festival in the Park Sunday morning. Organizers said more than 30 vendors were expected, but the weather kept some from attending.
